Joseph Curcio is a renowned engineer who has played a vital role in the development of several cutting-edge technologies. One of his notable accomplishments is his involvement in the creation of the "Ghost Boat," a state-of-the-art watercraft designed to operate stealthily and undetected by radar. Mr. Curcio, an MIT-educated engineer hailing from Gray, Maine, has a wealth of experience in the marine industry and formerly served as the Vice President at Juliet Marine Systems in Portsmouth, NH. His contributions to the Ghost Boat project have earned him a reputation as a leading innovator in the field of naval technology.
Robotic Marine Systems, or Maribotics, is a company dedicated to developing low-cost autonomous marine vehicles for a variety of applications. Founded by Joseph Curcio, an accomplished engineer and inventor hailing from Gray, Maine, Maribotics has emerged as a leading player in the field of marine robotics. Mr. Curcio's vision for Maribotics was to create a new class of unmanned vessels that would be highly versatile and useful for a range of purposes, including defense, homeland security, and environmental monitoring. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and a unique design approach, Maribotics has succeeded in producing a range of highly capable and cost-effective marine vehicles that are revolutionizing the way we approach marine operations.
Spring 2023 – Robotic Marine Systems (Maribotics) has been actively collaborating with other unmanned marine vehicle companies to develop a range of low-cost autonomous vessels for a variety of applications. One such collaboration involves the development of unmanned vehicles for drug interdiction and other defense-related purposes. Maribotics has also partnered with Marine Robotics LLC from Maryland to create a low-cost unmanned sailing vessel for habitat restoration, ocean monitoring, and fish tracking. In addition to these projects, Maribotics is engaged in several consultancies with other unmanned marine vehicle companies and is continuously developing new sensing and control systems to further enhance the effectiveness of unmanned marine platforms. These initiatives underscore Maribotics' commitment to pushing the boundaries of marine robotics technology and advancing the state of the art in autonomous marine vehicles
Our diverse experience includes work on many unique and advanced projects in the marine robotics field.
